Just wondering what the deal with the kick start is? Do you just buy the lever and bolt it on or what? Then I guess you can get rid of the battery and starter? :confused2

http://www.eskimo.com/~daddog/index.htm scroll down and click on INSTALLING YOUR OWN KICKSTARTER then watch the movies that will show u how to install the kick kit
no you need to install some gears. and yes you can run both electric and kick
You will also need a hot start lever, $40 or so, I think.

You do NOT need the hot start lever. I have the kicker and that lever is not needed the bike starts just fine cold or hot without it.
Call 877-243-3337 and ask for Bob he can get you everything you ned to install the kicker for less than $250.
And yes you can keep both the kicker and electric starters, but after you see how easy it is to start with the kicker you will be wanting to lose 15lbs REAL fast, by taking the starter, and battery off.

No it does not make it any harder to kick.
Compared to a 250R, maybe just a little harder but not much. I have a 14:1 piston and its not too hard to kick, stock it is very easy.

We just installed the kicker and it probably took all of 30 mins. I have the e-start on still, but may just take all of it off...still deciding.....
