88-96 fourtrax (need help) dont know year NEED CDI

Hey guys/gals im working on an old fourtrax300fw for a guy. and iv decided after testing the stator and coil an all testing good that i need a new CDI to get some spark back. My only thing is iv found 3 diffrent CDIs from 88-96 an i have to clue how to tell what year this quad is. its old but the numbers have been ground off, looks like a long time ago. whats left of the plastic seems to be blue and it looks like the light on the handelbars was stock also.

If anyone knows what year this might be please let me know.or even if any other CDI boxes will work on this machine.

Ok, According to my Honda Identification guide they only made 300 fourtrax utilities blue for 2 years 93 and 94 and none of them came with the headlight mounted on the handlebars as they all had dualling lights in the grill.
Are you sure that its a 300?
Because if its a 350 they made them Blue in 87 and 88 and they had headlights on the handlebars.

This is incorrect, or atleast partly. I know that honda made a blue 300 4x4 in 1990. Maybe your info is for 2wd only?

where is the gas tank located if it is under the seat then it is a foreman 350
if it is a 300 any cdi from that bike of any year should work

After going back and looking at my identification guide they made southern blue 3004x4 from 90 til 94 and they all had no headlight on the the bars.

And they also made an update for that DC CDI because they had problems in the way it was mounted.
