ATVA announces the 2006 Extreme Dirt Track schedule
Pickerington, OH (12/9/05) – As everyone knows, 2005 was a record-setting year for the FMF Extreme Dirt Track series with more entries and more spectators. And 2006 looks like it will break every record in the books. The ATVA has been working closely with promoters to come up with a bigger and better series, so 2006 will feature an eight-race series with two new tracks.
Last season, Hurricane Rita forced the rescheduling of the battle at the Bullet Speedway in Brashear, Texas. New for 2006, Bullet Speedway has been moved up to be the first round, set for May 6th.
The second round will take riders to a new location in Taylorville, Ilinois hosted by the South Fork Dirt Riders. This promises to become a favorite with riders. There are very nice bathrooms with showers, an ATV wash, large enclosed pavilion and a concession stand that that has indoor seating.
One of everyone’s favorite tracks, Pine Lake inAshtabula, Ohio, is planning on some major changes. So don’t be surprised to see more banked turns and an option lane.
The Tri City Speedway in Franklin, Pennyslvania, which is a fantastic facility, will host round seven. It has plenty of pit and spectator parking, nice bathrooms and grandstands that seat thousands. The 3/8-mile clay oval will lead racers into a large, unobstructed infield.
All the other great tracks will be back as well: Twin Creeks Raceway in Greenbrier, Arkansas, Birch Creek in Danville, Virginia, Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and the finale will be held in Paducah, Kentucky
