03 Rincon 650 motor noise?

I have a 03 Rincon 650 That has a noise just above idle that is not very consistent. It kind of comes and goes like something loose. It sounds like a metal tingy noise almost as if a heat sheild or baffle is look in the exhuast but that is not it. I tore it apart to check things out. The valves are properly adjusted and the chain and tensioner look good. Just wondering if anyone know a common problem or has expirienced this. I was told it could possibly be the auto compresion relase but not sure. any help would be great.

Mine does the same thing, if you find the problem please let me know. How many miles do you have on yours?

I believe it to be resonance vibration in the exhaust shield, mine does it too. mine also whines terrible on and off till it is warmed up. i was told by the factory rep that it is the antifreeze getting sucked out of the bottle but after 4000 miles no problems with either one.
