Well, I think it is of utmost importance to try and get more folks to these events. I want to show you that you can go race a National event with the basic equipment you should already have and if you dont like it, well you haven't spent two hours beating your machine senseless in XC , or cased a jump you had no business trying anyway in mx.
And please, don't think this is a cake walk but I would suffice to say it is probably one of the easiest and funnest races you can try. Maybe you stick with it or maybe you decide to try a MX or XC race, point is, get out there and TRY it!!
And for those that have never been to a race like this, the start is a bit different then MX or XC. A stop-light goes from yellow to green and green means hammer that puppy!
The turn out was kind of low for the series this round, and it was for other series as of late as well. The bad economy has all but the diehards staying home to conserve what funds they do have.
The racing started early with a practice on friday evening and resuming saturday morning for qualifying and heat races
The racing was non stop through the morning and midday hours. Racers were constantly on the gate with the exception of a few breaks to water and fix holes in the track
