Steele Creek is a rough round, and knowing it can be hard on equipment, I decided to vacate the starts and do my best to cut off the leaders to try and get a few shots of everyone before fate might prevent that chance as the race wore on.
The bridge crossing is always chatted about as one of the biggest feature of this round and in years past I have not taken pictures there simply because its so well covered by most with a camera However this season, we decided to add some video into the mix and I wanted to capture it so we shoe leather expressed it to the spot and set up.

The creek itself is seperated by a man made dike or dam of sorts and the section itself isn't difficult for most. Its the act of ducking the bridge that sets it apart for the racers and makes an excellent vantage point for fans to catch the action

The section after the bridge is the issue and has the laps wear on the soil, it can become a huge obstacle as ruts, mud and rocks cause some issues.

The video footage we have will be edited and posted in the coming days. I have my oldest son Cody to thank for running the camera and from what I saw, he has some great footage for everyone!

While there is plenty of room under the bridge, its the thought of it that has riders hunkered down as the pass underneath it
