How do I fix a rear grab bar that is scraped?

my friend brian was doing wheelies on my 250EX today. of course, i didn't want him to so i told him not to. he did anyway. he stood it up, smashed the rear grab bar off the ground and scraped it pretty bad. i have never hurt or scraped anythiny on it and i am very upset. should i take it off, sand it, spray it and put it back on? i want to paint it a shiny, metalic, chrome. i was think about spray painting the front and back red to make it look better. what's everyone's opion. what should i do? thanks.

Pish Posh... Don;t worry about it. Just spray a little bit of clear coat on it and it will be fine. Just don;t let it rust. Then when you do end up really bashing the thing then you can go buy a new one.
