Located in Englishtown, NJ...Raceway Park is a dream come true for any motorhead. With two motocross tracks, dragstrip, go-kart track, road coarse and who knows what else they have up their sleeves. Raceway Park will also be the last stop for the WPSA tour. The tour will arrive in New Jersey the weekend of August 19-20.
November 12, 2006...Raceway Park will hold their 3rd annual Fall Classic QUAD only race. A great day of racing today and being treated great by all employees, has insured my desire to get back to the track as soon as I can.
The professionalism of today's race made it feel more like a national than a local race. Many riders made the haul from their homes to race at today's event. With a weekend off, Yamaha's Pat Brown #199 and Travis Spader #30 showed thier dedication to improving their skills by spending their weekend off at the race track.
After taking a nasty spill at the Flying Dutchmen, Tom Fink #133 apprantely used his week of healing up to clean up his truck. Although he was still feeling the aftermath from last week, Fink showed no sign of pain when taming the Raceway Park track.
Cameron Massaro #312 is a favorite rider to many with his smooth riding style and ability to throw out some sick freestyle tricks. This year, Cameron is putting his Lonestar product 450r out front. Massaro has hit the first 3 WPSA events and plans on finishing out the remaining events of the tour.
The track is a mix of loomy sand corners, large and small berm corners, and a mix of jumps. A long holeshot straightaway followed by a hairpin corner tested the ability of all riders to work together to allow for a safe start. A few pile ups throughout the day held up many riders causing frustration for many, but thankfully no injuries.
