Try asking this in the 400ex section if you don't get any answers.

Stock it is at 45.3 inches
+1 A-Arms is about 47.3
+2 A-Arms is about 49.3
Ok thanks, I have some +2 +1 Lone Star a-arms and they do not look that wide. If I am mesureing right I come up with about 47.5" to 48" of total front end width. I just thought that +2 arms would be wider. I don't know maybe they are +1 and I got the wrong part sent to me. But I did put some +2 tie rods on and the fit perfect. They just do not look that wide to me.
I'm pretty sure that it's not 45 inches wide on the front. At least not stock. If I'm not mistaken, LSR makes a +4 frontend for the 400EX. And if they in fact do, then you wouldn't be able to stay under a 50 inch width limit if the stock frontend was 45 inches wide.
I just went and measure mine with +2 a-arms, and it measure to about 48". That's with 3+2 wheels.

Honda said it was 45
But this is also measured with 5.5 inch wide rims and 7 inch wide front tires, unlike the more popular 5 inch wide rims with 6 inch wide tires. Also offset rims will effect this measurement as well.Originally posted by Honda TRX250ex

Thanks for the help. The 45.3" width that is listed in the specs for the bike is going to measured from the widest point of the bike right? Correct me if I am wrong but the width of the rear axle with the wheals on a stock 400 is wider then the frontend. And like someone posted earlier, with +2 a-arms there width was 48". So the front end must be narrower then the rear. Because if the front is 45.3" with the +2 a-arms the the total width of the front would be 49.3". And mine with the +2 a-arms is about 47.5" to 48".
