That sounds a little bit more reasonable with the higher gearing, but 68 mph with 14/38? Wow thats cool if you could do that.Originally posted by speedy400

I reached 70 with mine with a Big Gun CDI
Do you guys think that if I run a 16t front sprocket, A 36t rear sprocket, And 22" rear tires I could get close to 80mph?

it doesn't matter if you ave a 440, 500, 416, or stocker they all go the same speed, if you want a higher top speed you change your gearing and tires. Built 440's just get to the top speed faster than a stocker. You want a high top speed run 16/36 gears with 18inch tires on the track that'll get you up there or you can use 16/38 with 20" tires, don't put on too big of tire or you'll lose a lot of bottom end.

20's and that was with it popping off the rev box. Opened it up with the stock 15/38 setup yesterday and got to 72 before I had to back out. I have seen another 400 hit 72 also on GPS with 14/38 and a WB rev box.Originally posted by 400exrider707
