It was a great 5 mile track with lots of mudholes, hillclimbs and a fast grass track section.
Chris Borich took the early lead and never looked back.
Here Borich on the first lap leading Todd Rothermel up the first rocky hill climb less than a mile into the course. The rest of us are a few yards back trying to sort things out.
EXRiders member (treebasher) #52 was in the top 5 after a great start. He really handles that Suzuki well in the woods. Behind him is Rob Hertz #45. Rob charged to the front of the pack within a lap or two.
I got a terrible start, the button was jambed and I kept hittin it at an angle and it did not start for a while!! I was more than a little fired up after a dead last start. We ran a race the day before and I was able to get the jump on the start and lead Borich and Hertz for over a lap, then battled for a few laps after that. Wether they were letting me keep up or not thats their problem!!hahah Needless to say that after that this being in last stuff was for the birds!!!!
The Vet class was crankin!!! Usually Randy Brandt tears up this track on his Cdale and no one can touch him.... Well these guys put the moves on him at the start and put some distance on him before the hill climb!
