    400ex valves

hey guys, i have a 2004 honda 400ex and there is a pretty noticeable ticking coming from my motor. i was told by the previous owner that the valves have never been adjusted, i was just wondering if its fine to ride like this until i get a chance to bring it to the shop to get them adjusted ($200) hope its not such a dumb question. thanks!

You shouldn't be concentrating on how fast your bike is.
You should be concentrating on how well you can ride it.

dont spend $200 on a valve adjustment get a manuel and do it yourself all you need are a set of feeler gauges and a few regular hand tools my son has been adjusting valves on our bikes since he was 8 he checked his 440ex last night after church for our ride on sat. and from start to finish it only took him 30min. if a dealer or shop charges more than .75 hrs (book time) for a valve adjustment on an ex find another shop they are cheating you.
