The way I see it, you have a few options.
1. Buy it... Go ALL THE WAY thru it(costly). Don't comprimise!! Lest you get stranded somewhere, because something WILL fail and leave you needing towed back(will make you sorry you did it).
2. Just replace the items needed to get it running(cheap). DO NOT ride it far from the house or truck(sure to break down).
3.Do like I did, buy a NEW '07 Outlaw 525 IRS(WILL NOT be sorry). Look around, you can probably find one for around $4000. You will have a brand new quad that you will LOVE. I went from a modified Raptor 660, that I loved, to the Outlaw IRS, and would never go back. I studied hard on a replacement for the Raptor, and everything kept pointing to the Outlaw IRS.
