    EX burning oil

On the first startup of the day I have noticed taht my EX seems to be burning what is IMO an excessive amount of oil. It only does it on the first startup though. After it is warm it stops, I can let it sit for an hour, start it up again and nothing Is this the signs of it needing a new piston/rings, or is it something else?? It also leeks about a half a teaspoon of oil from between the silencer/headpipe joint. Runs awesome otherwise. Took the holeshot from 2 LRD piped yfz's that had good riders.

It's your valve seals. Also, compression test your quad to check your piston rings.

That don't sound too bad, it looks like it will need a headgasket soon anyway so it is already coming apart.
