    torque specs

    can u guyz give me the torque specs on the clutches for the 400ex...

    i need them for the 5 bolts in this picture

    The manual says (not specified) tighten them until they are snug otherwise you may snap one.

    Tommy - I think I went with around 8, not all that tight and it seems to be working O.K. I have barnett heavy duty springs in mine though so you may want to go just a little more. I wish they would just have a specified number.
    04 450r: HRC kit, Sparks full system, Hipers all around, IMS pegs, Tag bars, Traitech riser clamp, Powermadd hand guards, Axe body skid, PRM swinger skid and grab bar.

    *SOLD* - 425EX setup for the woods with all the goodies...

    Dusty - could you ask Colby what he usually torques them to and post back. I'm curious to know - thanks.

    torque specs

    If you look in the service manual you will find a section in the book that tells you the size of the bolts and what they should be torqued to. At least in the 250r book.I would not go over 80 in.lbs on the pressure plate bolts.
    2000 LSR trx350r with a 350 pwr. valve motor,Built by Dennis Packard. Stock plastic,uncut. powder coated lollypop red, chrome subframe,L.S axle,antifade axle nut.L.S four over swing arm. works triple rate shocks with res. CPI 800 inframe bigbore pipe. .


    2000 416ex for the dirt.

    dont tighten them to much,they will snap. trust me. Just turn till they stop.
    01 400ex 416, xr cam, Sparks x-6 exhaust, Houser chrome stem, burgard a-arms, douglas shamrocks beads, razors, ohlins shocks.
