reasons NOT to live in Alaska...

Just in case anyone was thinking about moving here, here are a few great reasons NOT to live here...

-Summer is great...yay 85 above...talk about massive mosquitos
-Winter...not so great, around -10 most of the time, can drop to -65 REAL fast though
-Riding in 2 feet of snow isn't that great.
-2 tracks with in 600 miles, yay!

Just a few of the reasons off the top of my head....give me a while and I will think of some more

yeah there are some good things that happen here(arctic man....snowmachining...) but all of them things don't happen in North Pole. Trust me, one winter here, and you would eaither move to anchorage(where jim lives) or back to the lower 48. That and there is no place to ride here. 80% of where I have to ride is illegal. All of the gravel pits are private....only a few trails....I guess you would have to come and see for youself

Well....Anchorage is much more mild and we actually have 3 tracks within 2 hours. I have been to Fairbanks area in winter and summer and don't care for it. Living in Anchorage is pretty sweet though, especially if you have a Pro X under you during the winter! Hell....we even went to a water park on Friday......JIM
