lol, I was wondering the same thing. Right now I have my spark arrestor out, and was planning on just getting the turn down end cap, and taking out all of my disks, cause they arn't doing anything right now, so I don't see any difference in taking them out w/ the turn down end cap, other than making the pipe shorter, and posibly a little quiter.

I have a turn down end cap on my carbon fiber E-series silencer. I don't have any of the disks installed and it sounds really good. I'm not for sure what power differences an endcap would make. I think it is mostly for looks. I would think that the amount of disks installed would have more of an affect on power than the type of endcap installed. I think it is a little bit quieter because it directs the sound down to the ground. I like the mild growl sound that it puts out.

i also bought a turn down end cap for my e series...........i run it without any discs or spark arrestor, just as a free flowing exhaust. see to add alittle more grunt low end. i havent really noticed top end any difference with the discs or not. it sound alot better though

I've got the turn down cap on my E-series also. Like Burden said, its just for looks. Your power and noise depend on the number of discs you use.

so if I put in more disks, will it be louder, even with the spark arrestor out?

Yup. More discs = more noise & more HP.
