    K&N filter cover

Just a quick question, do the filter covers work and do they restrict power at all?

Yes they work and yes they do restrict air but not anything noticable, I run a prefilter on my K&N.

    I wouldn't run a K&N without a prefilter under any circumstances.

Do NOT run a K&N filter without the precharger. It WILL pass fine dust and dirt particles. The precharger is a no brainer Even with it installed on the filter, there is still no other filter that will flow more air.
