Who bought there 400 new in 99'?

I was just wondering what the price was new, and if/when the price did come down. I put a deposit down on a 450 but I dont want to pay more now, than if I were to wait 6+ months.

$5499. The MSRP won't ever come down on the 450R but you will be able to get a better deal after the initial buzz subsides and if you buy it in your part of the country's "off-season".

I have a deposit on the first one at my dealer and I think I am gonna auction off my spot. After riding a YFZ450, I don't believe the new 450's are worth $3000 more than a well set up, used 440ex. Especially since all I do is dune anymore.
