    does rich mean...

    its getting too much gas or too much air?and will opening the airbox lean it out?

    Too much gas. Taking off lid will lean out a little.

    Look for the hardest to get to screw on teh botton of your carb.

    You will need a real short screwdriver to get to it.

    Stock pos is like2-1/2 to 3 turns out.

    Becareful if u happen to screw it all the way in don't do it tight, its easy 2 mess it up if you tighten it down hard.

    i know where its at plus the stock setting.But am i right that out will make it richer? and in leaner?

    its a fuel skrew so out will make it richer.

    Keep in mind the fuel mixture screw (and pilot jet) only affect the mixture from idle to 1/4 throttle. 1/4-3/4 throttle is the needle and seat, 3/4 to full throttle is the main jet.
    Removing the airbox lid will problaby require at least changing the main jet, and/or possibly moving the clip on the needle down one notch.
