Unhappy Why is my 300 smoking?

Today when i was riding my 300ex started to smoke out of the exhaust, it's kind of a blueish color. It only smokes when i let the gas out. Does anyone know what is causing this?

It was 10w-30 it was kind of clear to. Do you think if I just changed it and put a new oil filter on and clean the air filter it would quit or not.

Yeh i'd switch to a thicker oil as well. Mobil 1 15w-50 oil is what i use and it stopped mine from smoking. Dirty air filter could be the reason as well.

If you want your quad to stop smoking you should give it some niccerette.

No I have a 400. When mine was ran hard it would smoke a little after letting of the gas. It was because of the honda oil i used. It breaks down way to quick and then makes the quad smoke. I switched to mobil 1 15w-50 synthetic due to good comments about it on this site and it doesn't smoke anymore.

Yeh 10-30 is a pretty lightweight oil to be using in an air-cooled motor.

All i know is that is from too much gas in the carb. If you press the throttle in a couple of times when your quad is off and then try to turn it on, it won't most likely because it's flooded. There is too much gas in the carb.
