4 pieces of ply wood, 12 2x4s, and a box or 2 of decking screws.

my friend makes ramps for his skateboard and bmx bikes all the time.... if i were you i would find a company who needs to crate large objects and they usually have big pieces of ply wood that are thin and perfect for making ramps. then buy some good 2x4's instead of getting the 2x1's used in most crates.

Just take your time, helps to have someone help you too. Put supports in the stress areas and then once it's built have someone look at the front of it as you go up and down it and see if it flexs bad anywhere.

Are you going to make your ramp curved? Or just a straight ramp? If its curved you can get real thin "ply wood" like 1/8" but you just have to ask for it, its a bit easier then the thicker stuff, even though you have to layer it, but if you do it this way too, you can paint each layer prolonging its life

    Good luck with the ramp
