I made the drive for the first time Thanksgiving. It took 30 hours. We stopped by Cracker Barrel restaurant and got some books on CD and the time flew by. The trip was well worth it. You will really want a shower after ridding out there. I hooked up with some people with an RV and brought them 55 gallons of water.
