    jetting ? for a friend

    my friend has a '00 400ex, we are getting ready to put in the jet kit, he already has a K&N filter, and e-series pipe. just wondering wheres a good place to start with the jet kit. ive seen one with a 168 main, and one with a 155 main, both e-series pipes, and K&N, where to start.....

    i am guessing you are at a low elevation (below 1000') so I would start at a 155 and work your way up. I have pretty much the same setup w/ just my silencer, k&n, and dynojet kit. I run a 155. Also, I have the stock headers. If his is a complete pipe jet a little higher.

    A 40pj and a 155mj should do the trick. If you live at an elevation over 2500-3000 ft, you might have to step down to a 152 mj.

    if u are running close air box, you could probably get away with just moving the clip on the needle down 2 positions. if that doesnt work, or if you have a open airbox, it is just guess and check. thats what i did.
