    qustion for rico

I jump 60 and 70 foot dunes with stock suspension but i still have the fear of a double i dont know why its just scary but i know ill do it, its a do or die for anything on a quad for me....but my qustion is would aftermarket suspension help me on doubles and jumps landing and takeoff is it a good investment?

and what shocks do you think work best for a price around 600-700 dollars?

Rico won't be back until wednesday or thursday, Shocks will only help soften the landing on doubles, better handling, and the preload will help on the take off. Aftermarket shocks are probably the best investment you will ever make for you quad. If you want to spend 600-700 on shocks then you should get Works Triple rate shocks with rezzy's. They sale for that much and thats what me and rico use. If you really serious about shocks then you could get some Axis shocks but they sell for about $1,500.

yea aftermarket susp is a very good investment.. i think you can get steeler works tripple rates with rezzies for about 450-550 or pep for about 599-700... i had works on my old 400ex and liked it alot now i got pep and really like it ...both serve the purpose..good luck ...toby

I dont know if it will help you or not, as far as being able to make the jump, its going to fell one helluva lot better when you do though. For me, the best investment I made in my R was my TCS shocks and my Aarms. For me, it gave me the confidence to jump the big jumps, dont know why, but it just did. Before I had them, there was a set of double doubles I wouldnt jump, but the first time I rode the track with them on, I jumped them without hesitating. They really boosted my confidence, cause I knew my quad wasnt gonna bottom and make me wreck.

Well as mentioned any aftermarket shock you use will help tremedously. I'd look into a set of shocks that have the 5/8 shaft since you got yourself around 700 bucks,,elka makes a set of triple rates with 5/8 shaft for around that much,,but works triple rates with rezzies will also do the job and you'll still have over a hundred bucks to spend on something else..if ya plan on gettin works,,call terry at marcums..he'll give ya the best price.

if you can wait a few weeks to get them, get the PEP race fronts, awesome shocks and their only 600$! but if you want to get the rear to its an extra 750$

    works 500
    pep 600
    tcs 850

these are your best bets IMO
