I had a 98 polaris sport 400 2 wheel drive and liked it alot,,,very fast but a polaris requires alot of maintance,,,the bushings wear out in about 1 year,,and there tanks,,,get a 400ex if your looking into another quad..

They are great for trail riding and some mud. Also excellent for holeshots. I have one if your interested. It is 2000 400 4x4 Scrambler. They are definetly not made for jumping. By the way Rico how did you sell yours? Give it away? I cant seem to sell mine. Just wonderin.

well I have quite a way to go before I can get one, my plan is to Fix my 250X up really nice, seel that or trade it in on a bike hopefulyy a scrambler or something along those lines...actually anything new and small, or used but Big like the scrambler...

but could you please tell me the conditioin of yours and what your asking for it? and anything to watch out for when looking into them...the only one I've seen around here was a 98 beatin very harshly, and the guy was asking $4000 Canadian

I dont know what 4000 canadian translates to us money but I am asking 4000 for mine which is below book value and it is in very good cond. I wouldnt buy one older than 99 though cuz I think the ones b4 that had chaindrive in the front and that is a pain. Make sure that the rear shock isnt blown, by seeing how the machine sits. It it sits level it is fine but if it looks the least bit slanted you will need a shock. I blew my shock but had it replaced with a brand new one under warranty. Ride it and if dont pull a wheelie then proably the buttons in the cluctch are stripped which cost about 6 a piece and theres 3 of them. I have an HPD button kit in mine that is indestructible. Other than that most of the stuff on other machines apply like checking the bearings and stuff like that.

    X-rider: 4000 canadian dollars equals about 600 U.S. dollars!
