    400ex stroker piston

I知 running (trying to run) a 460 stroker. When I purchased the engine the whole top end was off bc the seller burnt up rings running methanol. He told me it was a 13 or 14:1 compression piston. JE or vertex sold the piston so I ordered new rings. After rebuilding the engine (rings in correct orientation) the oil blow by was unreal. So now I知 looking for a new stroker piston kit with 11:1 or so. All I知 finding is 9.3:1 pistons. Is there a noticeable big difference between to 2 ratios? Thanks for your time, Randy.

A stroker piston will create 1 more compression...so a 9.3: 1 would create 10.3:1 compression. It is what Powroll back in the day told me. Never did the stroker kit, as explained to me it will only gain about 1 to 2 hp more, not worth the $$$$.

Cp makes a stroker piston in higher compression ratios than vertex. They are on ebay
