Noob Exaust Question

I just got a HMF comp slip on pipe for my '01 400EX. I got it partially installed and the mounts are not lining up. I have to pull up a bit to get it lined up. I could just bolt it up but it seems to be putting pressure on the head pipe. Should i just bolt it up? heat isnt going to bend the pipe in place. unless it is really bad, it will probably be alright. keep an eye on the bolts for the header, it may be possible to rotate it a little to get it to line up a little bit better but theres not much room to keep both of them in their proper places while rotating it.
