07 KFX 50 idles, but dies when giving it gas. Already took to shop! Please help!!

My son has a mint 07 kfx50 I bought him for Christmas a 2 years ago (jumped the gun as he was only 2 1/2). Anyways the little atv was in new condition, however it would need to be warmed up really well otherwise it would want to stall out if you gave it gas. If you slowly pressed the throttle it would run just fine. Wasnt a big deal until now.

Finally He is old enough to ride himself, and the thing is stalling out like crazy because he nails the throttle full on lol. I've had the carb apart a few times to clean out the jets, never once have I found anything, the bowel looks new, no build up or gunk in it.

So I took it to the local bike shop, they did there thing, went to pick it up, and fired it up to drive over to the truck. Same damn thing! So left it with them again, they did some re jetting work, went to pick up and still wasnt perfect but they said its the best its going to get. It was about as good as when we 1st got it so figured maybe thats just the way they are. It sat for about 3 weeks, went to fire it today for him and it idles fine, but I cant even touch the throttle to rev it up or it dies.

I even let it warm up 15-20min idling and it still wont go, as soon as your thump touches the throttle its like hitting a kill switch. Any ideas on what to try next? I cant keep taking it to the shop! And would like to get my son out burning around on this thing.

    Thanks!

Fixed. I pulled the bike apart today, re cleaned the carb, removed the chocke and put some wesel piss in it (looked clean but figured may as well try and lube it?). Also put a new plug in it.

Installed just the carb and left all the plastics and air box off and tested it. Ran absolutely perfect! Zero hesitation, instant response.

Once I put the air box back on it had a slight hesitation but no bog. Took the air filter out and re washed it, this time with less filter oil once dry. Bikes now running perfect!

Glad you got it going. Goes to show you (and us) that some fixxes are so simple we don't even think of it.
I'm guessing that you won't be taking anything back to that shop again eh. They can't fix a air filter....Lol
