    Stock 400ex 99-04 Skidplate Question

I have an issue, I cannot get the rear skidplate to fit...I have 2 stock ones and both are bottoming out on the rotor/sprocket. Is there supposed to be a spacer in the rear to add clearance? I have searched the internet through and through and cannot get a good pic so I can see. According to the parts microfiche it doesnt but I have no idea how its supposed to fit like it sits.
    Thanks
    Jason

On the stock skid there are supposed to be 4 thick washers that sit down into the skid on each bolt hole on the top side. It's number 39 on this page: http://www.motosport.com/atv/oem-par...400ex/swingarm If you have an older model with the metal skid then no there isn't any needed, I would say yours is bent and needs straightened if that's the case.

Whats the chance I put the carrier in wrong? It is offset and the "skinny" part of it is at the bottom which in theory looks like it could make everything sit lower since its offset. I have no experience with the carrier as its a unit I took out of another parts 400ex I had. Guess I need to do some research!
