ideas for frame powdercoat color

im gonna be over-hauling my 400ex sometime in the near future and im trying to decide what color I should powdercoat the frame. im gonna be using yellow plastics, and I was leaning toward making the frame blue. but if I dont go with blue, I was thinking either black, or like a silvervein or grey color. im gonna have a few red parts aswell, like hand guards and wheel hubs, etc.

if anyone has some pics of 400s with yellow fenders and colored frames post em up, or give me some opinions.

Rule of thumb for me is I like to try and make frame, a arms and swing arm all the same color.

Just good ol red... or candy blue.

maybe match the color of your beadlock rings and black lower arms/black bumper?

or black frame and red bumper and nerf bars

I'd go candy blue all the way! Frame, hubs, beadlock rings, etc. Get a black seat cover to clean the look up. Can't go wrong with black/blue/yellow. Having red parts with that mix doesn't look the best IMO.

i think i like the red frame and yellow fenders. my beadlock rings are just spray painted, so i can change those anytime. and i think black swingarm and a arms would go good with my ims tank and powermadd gauntlets.

Yea, my vote goes for the red frame, yellow plastics, black seat, black or red rings, then black swinger and black upper or lower arms only (2 black uppers and 2 red lowers or visa versa)and black bumper. I honestly think Honda should have made this similar color combo from the factory on the old 99-04 style. Every one I've seen like that have looked downright sexy, including the one Mtn linked (even though it's an R) and Dragon Gunners.

i been looking at black frames recently, seen this one bike and i gotta say with the right combo it looks damn slick with yellow fenders and a black 250r cowl hood.
