Lt 80 blowing main 5 amp fuse

I have an older lt80 that runs great. Daughter can ride it for 20 minutes or longer, time doesn't seem to be the problem. If she lets it idle for more than a few seconds it dies and won't restart because the fuse under left rear of seat has blown. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forums.
There must be a wire grounding somewhere.
It prolly is blowing the fuse durring riding not at an idle?!

I know that a short is causing the fuse to blow. Its not blowing while she is riding because it won't run with the fuse blown. Pretty much happens when it is idling. Guess I'll have to take the plastic off and start chasing wire.

The machine will run without that fuse. I have a stock machine here and I just had it running and pulled the fuse. Runs fine.

Found a loose wire in rear subframe harness that must have been touching metal. Will know for sure after she rides it for a bit.
