Not A Cobra Expert. But My Boys Running A Yz80 On His Quad And We Had The Same Problem. As Long As You Have Good Compression. Try Changing The Sprockets Small In Front And Larger In The Rear. Also Some CarbJetting Changes. Did This With Ours. NOw Hes Killing Everyone On The Line. HesThrowing Rooster Tails For About 10Ft And Pulling The Front Tires.

Sounds like jetting. But, I have seen a few Cobra shifters come out of the factory with gearing way out of wack. ( 15/38 once .)

If its a d slide try 142 main, clip at 2nd and 35 pilot. gearing try a 13/48 and go from there. You will be real close.

also beware of the petcock. ( the inner filter is junk, we replaced ours with a motion pro hi flow petcock). ( also, if u run oxygen fuel the glue inside the tank with get soft and mix w the gas. drain it every ride and flush w reg gas during week)
