Why is my clutch so stiff

Can anyone tell me why my clutch lever is so hard to pull.. After about 30min into a race my hand is just dead

Too many variables to easily answer your question. Type of lever and perch could be poor design. Cable could be in bad shape, clutch basket could be in bad shape. Someone could have installed HD springs at some point or even the wrong oil could cause it those are all things to look into.

I would start small...make sure it's adjusted properly with play in the lever. Cables are cheap.

I've put a new cable on new lever and I know the guy that has I owned it since new and it has stock springs and I run Gn4 10w40

Make sure your cable is routed correctly. Look into the perch and make sure everything is moving freely and nothing dragging, cable digging in. If not that, your clutch is probably the culprit, whether it be a grooved basket or warped clutch steels or something of that nature.

If that's the case I think I'm going to get a rekluse clutch one of the z start pros but I'm really hesitant about getting one because I've heard mixed reviews on them for xc
