87 Honda trx250 x frame

I have a 87 honda 250x and my brother in law smoked a tree and snapped the frame. As it is a spare quad I am not sure how much I want to dump into it. I can not seem to find the frame anywhere for it. The dealer said its 87 year only but I have that hard to believe. I did find a 91 250 x frame but can't seem to find if the part numbers are the same. Can anyone help? My vin is jh3te1304hk004801. The dealer said I need part number 50100-hc0-050 but called another dealer and they said 50100-ha8-770.

you can use any 87+ trx250x frame or any 300ex frame, all the same. 300ex frame will have battery mount bracket, other than that they are identical
