    Question 250X High Comp. Piston

I have found that the 250X piston made by Wiseco is offered in a higher compression than the piston that 300EX piston. Remember though, the 300EX & 250X bore sizes are the same. Wouldnt the 250X piston work with the 300?? Anybody tried this?

the bore sizes arent the same, the 300 is 6mm bigger than the 250, that makes the 250 a 68mm, and the 300 a 74 mm, i think

250x and 300ex have the same bores, just the 300ex is the stroked version of a 250x.

I don't think it will work. The piston height will probably be different and may cause valve/piston clearance problems or the piston may sit lower opposed to the 300ex piston lowering the compression anyway. I wish Wiseco made a lower comp. piston than the 12:1 ...it's not practical for me.

Wiseco's pistons are mostly 11:1 i believe, and on moto-man.com im pretty sure they sell some 10.5:1

When I looked in the Wiseco catalog they showed one piston for the 250X and it is a 12:1 piston, and unfortunately that is the one I have. I may look into what JE has to offer.
