I am having issues adjusting the shift cable on my 2005 Honda Rancher AT. I installed a new cable and it seems as if it doesn't have enough travel. At this point I adjusted it to a position where both Forward and Reverse don't engage all the way. Put it into D back to N then into D it will engage, and same for reverse. If I adjust it more towards D, I cant get it into R at all, and same if I adjust toward R I cant get it into D. Does anyone out there no how to adjust this cable to give it more travel to fully engage D, and R.

One other point is when I shift into D, and it doesn't engage I can manually with the heel of my boot down by the motor push it into gear, so I don't think it is the transmission because it engages fine when I manually move the shift change arm a little further. I probably only need an 1/8 of an inch more travel both ways.

Or is something else causing this? I did check the oil level
