    Lt 80 top end help

New to the forum here and having some issues with an 1987 lt80 I picked up for my daughter. It's in treat shape just needed new top end.
I rip it part and see the cylinder wall gouged beyond repair. I get that half way off and the gouges were so deep I had to use a little force to get the cylinder off the piston.
My next problem is I can not get the piston pin out of the piston is there a special trick?
I also ordered a complete new cylinder, piston and all the stuff that goes with it to make it factory bore. Any tricks I should know putting it back together?
Also the carb was completely stopped up with what looked like calcium so I ordered a complete rebuild kit for that as well.

Here's a pic I traded a set of sbc headers for it lol
