Got back from the National ATVMX race in PA at High Point MX last night. He keeps getting a little better each race. Ended up with a 5th overall with a couple of 5th place finishes in the 4 stroke 125 class. He had some shifting issues in one specific turn, but nowhere else, so I think it was just something he was doing. I rode it around afterwards and it seemed fine.

He still isn't riding the Yamazuki mod Raptor to it's potential, but he's getting better. He was 14th out of 16 in moto 1 and was running in 10th place in moto 2 before he got knocked off the quad by another kid hitting him on a jump. He got right back up and finished the race, but still only finished 14th. This was only his 3rd race on it, so it should get better. His best lap time on the 4 stroke was a 2:06 and his best on the 2 stroke was a 2:12, and it should be the other way around as the 2 stroke is much faster.

Next race is a local District race in 2 weeks. Can't wait!

Had our best weekend yet at the Briarcliff National last weekend. Braden got 4th in each moto of the 4 stroke 125 class for a 4th place overall. That is his best finish yet, and be was the fastest Raptor in the class. Now we have to figure out how to catch those Hondas. Lol

He is also getting better on the mod raptor with the RM motor on it. He got 11th in each moto out of 18 kids for a 9th place overall.

Braden had an awesome weekend at Budds creek for the D13 race last weekend. He ended up getting first overall in each of his classes. This is Moto 1 of the 90 Production class on his 4 stroke. His chain came off on the first lap when he was in 2nd place, and he was still able to work his way all the way back to 2nd before the race was over even after being sidelined for a couple minutes before they got his chain back on. This is the whole race from the helmet cam, so it's kind of long, but it gives you the whole perspective for how hard he rode to catch back up. Super proud of him for fighting through the adversity of the chain and having to run both his classes back to back twice within about an hours time.

Braden had to make his first trip to the ER from racing at Unadilla. Luckily it was just for a few stitches. He was approaching a 40' gap jump when the kid in front of him slammed on the brakes and slid sideways on the face of the jump. Braden had to let off a bit to avoid him and made him come up short on the jump.

He raced mot 2 the next day, but he def was taking it easy. We went to dream camp for the rest of the week and he shook the cobwebs out and was back to riding harder than ever by Friday. We were very fortunate that a few stitches were the only injury.

Haven't posted in a while, so this is gonna be a big one. lol

After Unadilla we went straight to Dream camp, which I was worried about since he just had the worst wreck in his life. But it ended up being the best thing to happen. It got him right back on the bike and had all the pros there to build his confidence back up. The Dream camp at Breezewood Proving Grounds was priceless. He got so much seat time and training in 5 days that you can't get anywhere else, and it came from the pros, not his dumb dad that doesn't know anything. lol
