    yamaha blaster roller

I have the opportunityto pick up a real clean Yamaha blaster roller from a buddy that was going to have it modded for his boy but went a different route. I want to build a mod with a kx 65 engine it for my daughter just so she can pick up the whole shifting thing with out going crazy on the power side. She already has a drr that I built a national ready race 70 engine for but I really want her to learn how to shift with a clutch asap. I know someone on here has done it before and was just looking for so insite on the whole project. Is it worth it or not? Any help would be greatly apprecriated.
    Thanks again
    Bob

Im sure its not to difficult to do but beware the kx65 is a pretty peaky little motor. They are way short on bottom end and add the weight of the blaster chassis may make it a real dog. You might want to consider a 85 motor. A good stock 85 motor would make good starter motor for a shifter bike. Just my 2 cents .
