I need some help. I got a sponsorship offer from Hot cams, Hot rods, Cylinder works, Pivot Works and Vertex Pistons.
I was wondering if these companies are any good or am i gonna have a lot of break downs with this company.

I dont like vertex pistons, I feel they are cheap. Not as cheap as namura but they are close.
Course CW offers them as part of their bigbore kits so they mighta made the pistons better.
Me-Id run nothing less than a JE or preferably a CP piston in my 450. I have had good luck with wiseco (although they are heavy pistons) in my 400ex tho.

ive always ran wiseco and had great results with them.
ive been hearing that vertex is junk so i think ima stick with wiseco and spend the extra money
for what's it worth, my buddy put a 474 vertex in his ltr and it's been running just fine for the past 2 years.
I am also a sponsored rider for them and I have been racing on their pistons for a few years never had any problems!
But just remember when you guys are buying Weisco that they have less silicon and less heat expansion so warm those bikes up before you take off!

I started running vertex about 13 years ago, never a failure due to craftsmanship.
