I am new to the shifters, what gears are you running? We have a blaster with a CR85 in it.

Somewhere is the 13 or 14 front and 48,49,50ish rear seem to be common.

those rear sizes sound big for a quad... sound more like dirt bike sizes... anyways your gonna have a problem with your chain guide, beatin that sprocket on the ground and even finding one for a blaster that size
Sold the quads so not as ....

I think the quoted gearing sounds right on for a stock or mild engine. Most modifieds have that size range rear sprocket. Rebel gear can get you any sprocket you want for a Blaster or any quad for that matter. Most likely, he will be using a 420 or 428 chain, so the larger tooth count doesn't meen the sprocket would be much larger diameter than the 520 blaster sprocket.

    gears

The mod was already switched over to a 428 set-up. I ahave several sprockets noe, the largest is a 54 rear, which is on it now. We will play with the gering til we get it right......Thanks guys...........And I do think the rears came from Rebel Gears.

    14 - 54

If I switch to a 13 front what rear would I need to be using to be in the same ballpark? 14 - 54 on it now, but I want to use a smaller rear

A 50 rear with a 13 front would make it about what you have now. Divide the rear # by the front # to get your ratio.
