foreman 450 es problems

hey guys, just bought a 2003 foreman 450 es. its quite rough but considering what i paid for it i cant complain. anyway its not running. i checked for fire its getting it. i went to check to see if its getting fuel. i noticed the petcock is not factory (looks homemade??? (junk)) so i pull the fuel line off. no fuel comes out. looks to me like this is a gravity fed setup?? correct me if im wrong. should fuel pour out? also on the bottom of the carb, there are 2 wires going into a bolt? bike bandit says its a heater??? one of them are broke? what do they do?? thanks for any advice in advance!!!!!

yes on any pet. from the bottom of the tank its gravity.. it should poor a steady flow of fuel out the bottom. and im not sure on the wires . some of them have a heater which in my mind is sort of like a block heater in a deisel motor .. for cold starting just splice it and conect the two with shrink wrap..
