Steve, I was a support rider at that time also and did talk to him several times but we got close when I approached him to talk about his cancer. My dad had found out he had cancer about the same time and I needed someone to talk to. My relationship just went from their with the whole family!

I was at Lorreta's in 90 or 91, and this guy had a pick up truck full of " R " parts, i am going through and picking out what i wanted, and this guy walks up and says, " How much for everything " ? They negotiated a price, then he looks at me and says, " you can keep those ". It was Darren, he bought me a brake rotor, and a coil. I thought he was the coolest guy in town.
