    jbmod radiator question

can anyone tell me what radiator they run in the jbmods?, i need one for a cr85 motor, i have one for the crf150 motor but the outlet comes out straight, right into the pipe. and the inlet comes out at a 90 right into the frame. thanks

    Radiator

I know a lot of guys run the YFZ 450 radiator in there minis. They are pretty cheap on eBay . Even new ones are cheap. Don't know about inlet and out configuration we are still running a air cooled four stroke. Check the YFZ out , hope this helps.

i think the yfz is what i have, and i think its an oversize aftermarket, so i'm also concerned that it might be to big and not let the coolant heat up enough.

a trx250r radiator is used in allot of the fischer/jb mods we have seen and also is what we use for our jb mod with cr85 motor. Just an fyi on the 250r radiator the 86/87 is slightly different than the 88/89 versions. The outlet at bottom goes down and other goes down and curves for lower coolant hose which should give you the clearance you need to get lower than the pipe. a 250r will use 2 upper brackets where the mounts are built into a yfz radiator so might need to make some brackets but they are basicly just a 90 degree bent aluminum bracket.

    older / newer

The older JB chassis used a 250r radiator. Anything from the last 5 yrs or so uses a yfz450 radiator. Most people use a 90 degree bent hose coming out of the radiator. If you don't have room between that and the pipe on your 2 stroke, have a shop cap off the factory nipple and install a new one on the 45 degree angle of the radiator tank bottom.
