    86 yamaha 225 moto 4 clutch screws

    would any 1 know how far 2 thighten the screws that r inside the 4 springs that hold the clutch plates together 1986 yamaha 225 moto4 ?

    there is no specs for any clutch springs on any quad/dirtbike.

    Just use your best judgment.

    In my opinion its better for them to be a little loose then over tightening them.

    I over tightened the ones on my 400ex and my clutch literally shattered and ruined my right case cover and clutch hub and pretty much everything on the right side of the engine.

    I usually fasten mine down flush with the pressure plate.

    Where did you find it at?

    My manual doesnt tell me so i just figured there wasnt specs for it.

    Clutch screws

    Hello,
    If you're refering to the screws that have the springs around them that apply pressure to the plates they should be seated. If they are 6mms in diameter (the shank size, not the wrench size)they should be tightened to about 7-8" pounds. If you leave them loose they will work themselves out and can cause damage to your engine.
