Big bear 400 trouble

anyone have any idea why a big bear would have a hard time shifting when in motionless state? I mean its in First gear or reverse and i try to put it in neutral. The damn thing is near impossible at times to do this. Do you think its that auto clutch maybe?

Okay my steering has about 1 to 2 inches of rocking play. I was thinking of upgrading suspension. I today know i blew a ball joint riding. I am looking for a better solution because i cannot continue putting money into this thing. After looking at shocks for god sakes. 400.00 for two shocks. That is nuts.

I want to beef up the suspension as i am 300lbs and i am sure i am taxing the suspension. The power is awesome and plenty for my needs so that is why i went with the 400. I am just not into spending 800.00 to beef it up.
