A couple of Carb Tid Bits

I've been spending most of my forum time on some of the mud forums. Hey it's Florida and I do have a 4x4. But, in doing so I've picked up a couple things here and there that might help.

The Predator and I think some Outlaws use a Mikuni BSR42 carb. The Polaris part numbers are different because of the different jets need for the particular application.

What is also interesting the Mikuni BSR42 carbs are also used in the DS650 and the Grizzly 660's and a different version, the HSR42 is a common application in many Harleys.

What especially perked my attention was the price difference between OEM Polaris and OEM Yamaha parts. A couple examples from Bike Bandit lists the Predator float and needle and seat assembly at $31.60 and $46.77. The Yamaha counterpart (same parts mind you) are listed at $33.90 and $16.83 The float is a bit more but that's almost a $30 savings in a common to replace part.
