    pilot screw adjustment

Working on a 87 trx 350 4x4. Cleaning the carburetor & resealing it. Honda workshop manual dont make sense for the pilot screw adjusment. Say to screw it in 1/2 turn or 3/4 turn. I searched google and found a post that says 2 5/8 out and fine tune it from there.

Is there anybody on here that knows a good starting point for the pilot screw.

2 5/8 out makes more sense than 1/2 turn in. At least you have a logical starting place when turning it out. Not sure if honda means 1/2 turn after the first thread catches or what.
