How often do you change your oil filter?

I know this has been talked about a million times but.....

I change my oil (engine and trans) about every 3 rides. However Ive been changing the oil filter every other change. Im wondering if I should just go ahead and change the filter every time? I guess I should I was just wondering what everyone else was doing.

Yeah...probably best to change it every oil change. I will do that from now on.

I change my oil filter every 20 hours, and oil changes every 5 to 10 hours, so filter gets changed every two or three oil changes. been doing this since I bought my first 450R in 04, never been a problem. During a oil change where I don't change the filter, I always pull the cover off and inspect if for shavings, just to be sure.

I change the oil and filter about every 3 hours, or 2 races on the race quad.

and about every 15-20 hours on the practice quad.

I would change my oil after every GNCC or every 2 local races. Usually 3 hours tops. I would change filter every time, but then went to stainless filter, so just cleaned it every time.

Well, it seems that most of you guys don't change the filter but maybe every other oil change (on average) as long as as the oil is changed often enough. I will just keep doing what I've been doing. As a side note, I've always used the K&N oil filters. Do you think they are any better than oem or tusk or am I simply paying for the name?
